Jesus isn’t untouchable. He empathizes with our weaknesses and temptations because He experienced them Himself.
I’ve heard it said that, since Jesus was perfect, He didn’t even cry as a baby. I bet Mary would laugh in your face if she heard that. Yes, Jesus was 100% God. But He was also 100% man on earth. He lived through the same pain, heartache, frustration, temptation, and other aspects of humanity that we experience every, single day. Jesus is God. Hebrews calls Him our High Priest. That can sound pretty untouchable. But that is why our One Verse for today, Hebrews 4:15 makes it clear: Jesus understands. He knows what it means to be human: the good, the bad, and the ugly. From pain to temptation, He has experienced it all. Yet, He did not sin. That is why He is our Savior.
